yes, thank you, I also read this. Here's the thing: BJ's has a disclaimer
Product information is provided by the supplier and BJ's does not represent or warrant the information is accurate or complete. Always consult the product's labels, warnings, and instructions before use. Please see additional terms atbjs.com/termsofuse

"Starting January 1, 2026, the USDA will restrict "Product of USA" and "Made in the USA" claims on meat and poultry to animals that were born, raised, slaughtered, and processed entirely in the United States."

I don't see that on this label. And "Priya" the verified reply does not actually mean "verified by BJ's." it came from a review site

Where ever it comes from, it's AFFORDABLE for those of us that don't have all the money in the world...And, it's quite DELICIOUS.

I was just at BJs. It is inspected by the USDA. Not listed as Product of USA. If you click on the actual chub that's 42% off in the app it does NOT say USA. We put it back. It's not normal BJs hamburger, it's mystery meat

I've bought many tubes of beef from Walmart and BJs, along with the normal $5-6 lb from the local stores and it all cooks up the same. With all the ultra processed foods in our country, I'm not condemning beef that "might" be from outside the US that has been inspected.

what the fark makes it mystery meat? usda inspection guarantees no filler or binders, skeletal muscle tissue only, and a cap at the advertised 80% leanness.

if you don't trust one label what makes you trust the other one? makes no sense

The packages I bought were marked as USDA Est. 562M, which is JBS Plainwell, Inc., 11 Eleventh Street, Plainwell, Michigan 49080.

FWIW, any meat or poultry product sold in a intact package originally sold by an USDA Inspected establishment should have an Establishment Number on the package either within the USDA logo or a the printed date or lot code area. The mark may not appear on products which has been bulk shipped and then packaged at the retail level. Google search for the producer using the number as USDA Est. XXXXX. Poultry plant numbers have a leading P, as P-38. See also: https://extension.okstate.edu/fac...nd-grading
