I advise waiting until next month's Prime Day sale before buying a new electric scooter. During the Spring Prime Day sale, Amazon and Best Buy were selling the NIU 300P scooter for $479. The 300P has better acceleration, more battery range, and upgraded tires and suspension compared to the 200P, so well worth the price bump from 200P. And for people who prefer a cheaper, more portable, lighter weight, more compact when folded, shorter-range scooter, the 100F model for around $260 is a good deal. The 200P model has always seemed overpriced for what you get; they should sell it for more like $350.

BTW - the 53 pound weight listed here is a typo. The NIU specs say the 200P weighs 43 pounds and the 300P weighs 46 pounds. Also, the "maximum range" of 34 miles is misleading. That number is based on an average speed of less than 10mph. Real world riders who average 15-20mph will get about half of that range.
