After having my Samsung develop a dark spot after 6 years as a secondary TV, and seeing so many Samsung TVs on Facebook with the same issue or a line on the screen, I'm hesitant to sink money into any TV made in the past 10 years.
These $300-400 Chinese TVs don't last. The $600-800 ones probably don't either.
Does any company still make their own panels without having to pay the OLED TV prices? Or are they all made in China now?
The TV that developed a dark spot was a Samsung TV with a Chinese panel. All my samsung TVs with Samsung panels never had issues with the panel. The power boards died after 12-14 years, and I was able to replace/fix those. The Chinese panel Samsung is sitting on the floor and I hate to throw it away, but I can't fix the LED strips on a panel. Way too much work and precision.

Apparently remote sucks and smarter one exists as option to buy
And people claim it's does not remember last input/settings
I'll just wait for Prime Day since so close, but good to see 120hz at this price point
