Limited Support for this model: Motorola's current U.S. support page for the Moto G Stylus 2025 now explicitly lists:
Launched with: Android 15
Upgraded to: Android 16
Next OS: Android 17
Security updates through: March 2028
Security patches: at least bi-monthly �
Motorola Support US
So, as of now, the expected OS path is:
Android 15 → Android 16 → Android 17
That means Android 17 is currently planned to be the final major OS upgrade, unless Motorola later extends support

I've had two for almost a year. Great phone for the price: near-stock android, headphone jack, microSD slot, great OLED 120hz screen, 68w fast charging (full charge in 40 minutes), great battery life, smooth performance, reliable fingerprint reader and face unlock. Cameras are pretty decent, but will struggle in difficult lighting or with fast movement. The only real negative for me is no Always on Display.

Now that's a correct price for a good phone! This is a superb deal!
In terms of features - it beats many $1000+ phones.
The only (and it's a major) downside is the stupidly limited upgrade/support by Motorola, at only 2 years.

Great phone, my son has the 128/8 version. Just out a good case on, the screen is big and cracks easily. Don't put it in your rear pocket and sit either down.

Did the battery ever get better on this phone? When I tried it, it was terrible, didn't seem like it was optimized very well. Went with the 2024. Holding that until the end of 2028. No support for one year isn't that big of a deal right? Apps have their own support

And then no more aux input. I am very sad

Its fine if you need unlocked right away. Otherwise tracfone has same phone with 1 year plan for $200 and unlocks after the 1 year

Certainly a great deal for a backup phone but note that this has half the storage (128GB).
