Too many screwdriver bits and not enough sockets. Pass.

$28 for shipping. Would be cheaper to buy from my local Home Depot.

I mean... anyone interested should take a glance at the camel price tracker and slickdeals history for this and make their own decision about how likely a $100 repeat is

It's good that there are nice people like you to guide people to better deals. I locked in on that dewalt kit last year for a smokin deal. I think $85 or someone.

That has been the greatest deal on any large mechanics socket set since the beginning of SD, barring price mistakes. I picked up two of those sets during that sale. The ratchets need some oil. You can take them apart carefully but be very careful you dont break the reverse gear. I did, and DeWalt sent me a new ratchet. Great company.

Not so sure about that - I did get the 192 pc set for ~$100 like 6 months ago, and while it's quite complete, man does it put a load on your wrist/elbow/shoulder - it's seriously heavy. I also have the 226 piece set, which is even heavier and I use that on my Total Gym inclined bench to add an extra weight to my workout (the 40lbs equates to 20lb of cable resistance at maximum bench inclination)

I'm glad you posted this. Id been waiting on the 247 piece because I thought it was the most socket heavy. It isn't. Now to reset all my alerts

The 192 piece set is the best all around. I have 2 of them now, 1 for my garage and 1 in my trunk. It is worth paying more for that one because it has more useful tools in it that most people would need while having fewer pieces that are not useful.

Good luck with that . They look ok even at this price, if you need them, but less than 100.... maybe close to 100

Same! Got it for $98 in January. Heavy MF'er! I liked the case/organization though so I built a drawer into my workbench to hold it.

No professional anything is going to buy Vevor socket sets. Most avid DIY'ers aren't buying any Vevor tools either. They're a big China importer, selling all sorts of random things from Chinese white box factories that manufacture for lots of semi-generic and generic brands. Some Vevor tools may be just fine, but I'm not rolling the dice on them, no matter how good of a value they may appear to be on the surface, and frankly, comparing Vevor to DeWalt is a bit silly.

Kobalt tools are also a little hit and miss. Most are decent or homeowner-grade, and that set may be alright but is mostly just little driver bits, so the piece count is pretty inflated at 302. Lowe's puts similar Craftsman sets on sale for $100, and Home Depot does comparable Husky sets all the time, too. If you just need a socket set now and then for minor stuff, any of these may be fine, but the DeWalt set is probably the best, although not the most comprehensive - no wrenches.
