My friend had one of these from the more expensive brand, and after a year it leaked... so i am about to unscrew the thing to open it to maybe see if i replace a gasket inside. I checked the manual beforehand luckily and it said you have a risk of death basically or serious injury because it's so spring-loaded that those springs might forcefully pop out and poke your eye out or worse. I'll stick to a regular hose

I have used Gardena retractable hose for 3 years. No issue so far. But it's lot more expensive than this one, around $200

1/2 inch is ok for maybe 25 feet or less. Anything more you n you need to go to 5/8"!
