I can only comment on the product. I love mine. It was easy to setup. Connectivity will depend on your situation. If you got good wifi coverage then it's not a problem. Never had issues with it. I have it programmed on the smart calendar. Saves water but I don't think my lawn is getting enough water. The prediction of rain is bit off.

unless this is 50x better than the original, would not recommend. Get the Rachio. Yes, twice as much, but you're buying quality, functionality and support with that extra money. Well worth the value.

I have both, my only problem with the b-hyve is it has a mind of it's own, it waters nice, follows schedule, than stops for a few days...lol, like it thinks the weather is bad, and this is a 10 day stretch of same weather.....maybe a few windy days in there...... i got it on a smud rebate for $80 a year ago, i got the Rachio 2 mos ago, on the same deal ($67) but i haven't set it up yet. I'm going to use it for my front yard..... anyways, good deal either way.....

Why don't any of these come with manual controls as well?? I only see one product from Orbit that had it and it worked great. My gardener would set the timings and I could control the days when to skip due to rains or tweak on other days via the phone
