My local HD has an in store only clearance for $12.49. YMMV, most in my area (northeast Ohio) did not have the clearance, but I picked up four bags at my local and they had ~40 bags left.

Home Depot clearance will show the clearance price online based on the store you have selected. However, you can't order online at all. You have to go to the store to purchase.

Not at my store according to website. I bought a couple bags of this last time, great for during the smoking, but you need something smaller to get the fire started. Chunks were so big, they wouldn't start in the chimney. Some softball-sized.

Would be nice to know WHERE the deal is.

I would use some briquettes on the bottom and the larger stuff on top of it.

Could always take a hammer and make them smaller.

Anyway, JD is all I've been using for quite some time. Great charcoal. I've wanted to try Fogo, but JD is usually priced better, so I have no reason to switch.

Get the propane torch that have been going on sale every so often from Amazon. Will light the big chuncks in minutes! Has been a game changer for me, no more using the fire starters and coming back to find the charcoal not on fire.
