I use it with SmartLife app, and it works without any issues. I also contacted the manufacturer and asked them to provide proof of UL certification, and they responded and provided it. It also has a DC motor. One thing to note, the remote is different from the one shown in some of the older reviews. It's not as fancy, but it does the job. They replaced it because based on the reviews, they added an option to turn off the beeping sound because apparently it was driving people crazy 😂. So far I'm happy with it. Hopefully it lasts!
