$344.50 + $9.82 shipping = $354.32 before tax.

That's about 31% below MSRP so it's a good deal, but for a little more you can get into automatic. I have it on my list for must buy under $310.

I mean the shitting on quartz always puzzles me. The materials of the watch and the water resistance and diver certified it's a perfect acceptable deal. Just because a watch is quartz it doesn't diminish the quality. Frankly I keep a line of quartz and eco drive watches in my rotation so I don't have to set the time constrantlu.

Most affordable watches are 30-40% off pretty regularly. If you don't want to buy it now, you'll probably see it at this price again, but it probably won't go for much less.

As for "good", Tissot is the entry-level brand of the largest watchmaking conglomerate in the world, and this is the watch that fits the criteria set for it. If you are looking for a Swiss Quartz Diver with a Sapphire crystal for under $500, your choices are blue or black. If you'd rather change any one of those criteria, there are other fish in the sea.

Tissot has a long history and makes excellent timepieces, especially for the price. I've owned a Tissot quartz for 29 years and it's still working great. It's had several battery changes over the years, but has never been serviced.

I would agree for your timepiece since it is decades old. More recently, they have swapped out in-house movement for more low cost production line movement easily replaceable if broken.
