Fine candidate for Argentinian beef trimmings of unknown age.

I would avoid fast food hamburgers for the time being since they're mixed with sketchy imported meat.

I thought beef was like their thing, among the proteins.

Does Argentina really export sketchy beef? Anyone with legitimate documented sources from before trumps 'deal'.

This is pretty old, but not much has changed. Our fast food meat has been junk long before " Trump's deal". The "highest quality" fast food burger has less than 15% beef in it. Though a few more chains have made it big since then that claim to have much higher standards. Even some of those, aka chick fil a, have taken a nose dive in quality the last 5 years.

Here are just a few controversy's over the years.

Or do you want Argentina's meat specifically?

(Gemini) Timeline & Entry into the U.S. Food Chain
September 1, 2026: The tariff-waiver window officially opened for the first tranche of 100,000 metric tons of imported lean beef trimmings.
September – October 2026: Shipments arriving from South American suppliers enter U.S. ports, undergo USDA inspection, and are routed straight to commercial meatpacking operations and grinding facilities.

Current Status: The imported trim is blended with domestic fatter beef cuts to produce retail-grade ground beef, reaching grocery stores, fast-food outlets, and foodservice distributors in waves throughout September, October, and November 2026.

Expected to market at ~25% below prevailing import prices; inspected by USDA officials

I don't think they're sending us their best.😏 Probably retired (culled) dairy cows.
