Nice powerful machine, sucks up a lot more than my bissell spot cleaner. Kohl's occasionally runs on sale plus Kohl's cash, regular price now tho.

In for one, I buy a lot of auction vehicles and they are usually always nasty on the inside.

This is just a spot cleaner, the big green is a carpet cleaner with a spot cleaning tool. This is probably a little better than the big green because of the steam for cleaning spots.

That said, I don't know how reliable these are as steam cleaners. The little greens (same without steam) have been down around $50-60 on big sales.

fyi not sure if it was this model or something similar. I ended up returning it because the "steam" was just warm mist not actually steam coming out of the wand.

For these prices you might as well get the Bissell Big Green Machine, which is an American icon and is higher qualtiy than any of this chinesium garbage.

You can use the big green machine as a spot cleaner. You're forgetting just how much of a beast the big green machine is compared to these cheap shitty plastic chinese garbage units

They are both Bissell though? Using the same same production network, much of which is Chinese.

Bought in June on Amazon for 169.99. It has worked well so far. I don't know how it compares to our prior non-steam spot cleaner because we just didn't use that one much and it conked out anyway. Hopefully this is more reliable but I somehow doubt it.

The Big Green is manufactured decidedly different from other stuff branded "Bissell".

I'm not sure if it's made in China, but I have reason to think it's made in the U.S.
You can call them and also see the replacement parts offered directly . Genuinely the Big Green machine sets a standard for quality of appliances that exceeds even stuff like Miele vacuums (which just has a bunch of engineering, but not as much meat on its parts).

I have a feeling you won't believe ChatGPT, but this is what it said:

Based on BISSELL's current manufacturing disclosures, neither appears to be manufactured in the United States.
  • BISSELL Big Green Machine Professional Carpet Cleaner — BISSELL doesn't state the country of origin on its current product page, but available product/manufacturing information points to China for the Big Green machines.
  • BISSELL Little Green HydroSteam — this one is more clearly documented as made in China. Import records specifically identify the "BISSELL Little Green HydroSteam Portable Cleaner" with origin: China.
This also fits BISSELL's own corporate disclosure: its cleaning machines are manufactured in Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, and Indonesia. BISSELL specifically distinguishes those machines from some of its cleaning formulas, which it does manufacture in the United States.
BISSELL itself is still a U.S.-based, family-owned company headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and much of its product development/engineering is American, but the machines themselves are generally produced overseas.

I had one before and had to return it immediately. The tank fitting leaked, and there's no way to replace it because they assemble it with a permanent glue. Horrible design.

Anyway, point in all this: get the big green machine, it's leaps and bounds, head and shoulders above all the other toys, and for what you're getting it's relatively inexpensive
