This a great price for a hue colour bulb, but these essentials are very likely much lower quality. I have one in my bathroom since last October and I've noticed it start visibly flickering. It could be just a dud, as the other two Essentials I have seem to be fine, but I haven't had this problem on their more expensive bulbs. The colours are noticeably not as good.

Agreed that the colors on these aren't as good as the nicer ones. That said, I'm happy with them in our bedside lamps and driveway sconces. Especially for the sconces since any LED bulbs I use in those don't last more than a couple years. Not as big of a deal when they're this cheap.

every time I've tried to pick up hue bulbs on resale, the box has had regular light bulbs stuffed in it.
