This is good stuff for beginners. It's very forgiving, inexpensive, and actually does a good job. My daily driver lasts about 6 months in 0 to 100+ degree weather. My wife's car is seldom driven and it's still doing well over a year. Are there better products? Yes, but they're higher on the learning curve and cost more. It's a good value for the money, for certain.

Technically, clay bar is not necessary, but depending on your current paint's condition, clay bar plus other prep work may help significantly.

If your paint hasn't had prep work in a long time, I would personally clay, iron remover(spray) etc then spray Ceramic. It is a lot of work, many hours, so might not be worth it depending on your situation.

This Turtle Wax spray is an excellent product. Traditional waxing is obsolete. Ceramic is far superior, both the cheap spray kind and the real liquid kind.

Love this stuff. I'm an average weekend detailer. This leaves a nice shine and slick feeling surface that is immediately noticeable in the wipe-off phase. My only advice is: use it sparingly. A little really goes a long way.

I have used this and it performs well but recently switched to Griots version based upon the Project Farm testing. I followed the directions on that bottle and watched their videos on application and their product doesn't seem any different to apply than this product. Perhaps I'm missing something based upon some of the comments on here stating this product is easier to apply than others. I applied this after doing some paint correction using the Girots polisher and compound (which I have found very easy to do to achieve good results - my hood looks significantly better).

I really do like this product, but check Ollie's occasionally - they have had it for $8 or $9 when they stock it.

I use a clay mitt to save a ton of time. I have clay bars as well, but only use them for small surface areas that the mitt doesn't quite reach. My order of operations for a 2013 car I bought that had never been done before was as follows:

Hosed down car with power washer.
Hand washed car.
Iron remover
Clay mitt/bar
Compound with 6" random orbital
Polish with random orbital

It's been 3 months and all I do now is use rinse (no soap) at car wash, followed by spot free and dry with a towel and it looks perfect every time. The initial process took me about 25 hours, but I was thorough and was correcting some scratches. Since the car had never had any real detailing done, it was a process, but now it's just easy maintenance. If your car is newer or was done more recently, it could be less work.

They're both good. Project farm is a trusted resource.

A good point here is that a little goes a long way. If you just have one car, getting two bottles is probably a waste of money. I like to avoid keeping detailing products sitting on the shelf for multiple years waiting to be used.
