I bought a similar one of these 5 or 6 years ago. I covered both door panels with insulation and installed it halfway up a stairway to my seldom used second floor. In the summer I leave it open so hot air can escape the 1st floor. In the winter I leave it closed so the heat stays downstairs. It cut my winter heating bill by 40%

They make these curtains already insulated instead of mesh. I use one in the entryway from the back door "mud room", which was added to the house and cannot be insulated well; it saves a ton of money and you can feel a 5-10° difference just walking through.

I bought a similar model a few months ago that has a full strip magnet whereas this one has individual magnets. Installed on an exterior door, but don't expect their tape to do all the holding. I put in 4 screws at all 4 corners (maybe could have done staples) and it has been great. This replaced a storm door with a screen that the dog pushed through and is serving its purpose well
