6-person is 80" tall in the center; the 4-person is "only" 60" tall in the center, which is still taller than my current 4-person tent options. 4-person is 8lb 4oz, which still feels like it could work for backpacking in a group; 6-person is 13lb 7oz which feels too heavy if it's going in my pack.
The MN(and it looks like CA) chemical shipping restrictions are due to the fire-retardant coatings common on tent fabrics. Oddly, they have laws on the books requiring fire-retardant for tents, while also having restrictions for the common fire retardants.
