I'll never purchase rice from Amazon again. I bought a bag of brown rice, but it sat in my pantry for a month before I opened it. Totally disgusted, the entire bag was filled with tiny black bugs that looked ants.

< $1/lb is pretty decent, but you need 30 lbs to get that deal, and that's a lot of rice for many people. Might as well go buy the big sack from an ethnic store for about the same price/lb and avoid amazon's infested rice.

A 4.6 Amazon rating is, in my opinion, just about excellent. If some customers reported finding rice bugs, that's unfortunate, and they may have received older packages that had been sitting in hot storage conditions. Most customers, however, did not report that issue and found the rice to be good quality.

Also, if you regularly cook rice for just two or three people, 30 pounds can actually go surprisingly fast.

Regardless, I am not buying it because I am not supporting them what they are doing to other countrymen in their own country.

With my S&S and the $5 off $25 grocery coupon, it made it $20.49. Thanks OP!

The ingredients should say weevils included. But I'm sure most people just scoop the rice without looking, add water, and place it in the rice cooker. Some people I'm sure enjoy the extra free protein than just consuming the carbs.

The jute bag versions from Costco and Sams are way better than the plastic bag ones from amazon.

Slightly cheaper at my nearest Costco, too. Probably better quality rice to start with, and definitely less chance of significant insect content.
