The controls are a bit strange, and the zoom is reversed from other digital cameras, but for $10, I can't complain.
The threaded bottom is pretty nice, and the controller on top is actually removable, so the camera can be used on a tripod, with a remote. Very nice.
Overall, try it. At worst, its $10. At best, you'll be taking more pictures.
In testing. It attaches pretty securely. Does require changing an accessibility setting to set up. And, yes, the zoom control is backwards, but I figure I will adapt to that. It does make a smartphone a lot more comfortable to hold with one hand and take pictures, akin to a decent point and shoot that had batteries on in the grip, and I look forward to using it on our next vacation.
