In for 1. I will give it a try. I make hardwood snowmen with old timber and this should help me with consistent depths on the cus. Also, not an automotive tool. LoL.

It's automotive because the chainsaw related to gas and oil which is automotive . Unless your using a battery unit then just don't! . Stop it !

I don't think he was criticizing the concept as much as this particular product. If you look at the reviews on both Amazon and the manufacturer's site there are some serious flaws with this product that could get someone hurt.

It looks identical to every other similar guide I've had on my wishlist forever because I refused to spend $30 on something that shouldn't cost more than $20 because it's such a simple thing to make. And yes, they're horrifically dangerous to use for the same class of idiot who shouldn't be allowed near a chainsaw in the first place, for just that reason.

Don't forget, you need to own at least one 2x4 of the length you want to cut lumber out of a tree trunk to run this guide along after you've clamped it to your chainsaw's bar.
