I had a similar thought. Between all costs involved in amount of materials, production, and logistics/shipping, I don't see how it's possible for this to be 0.8 mm galvanized steel and still cost $17. Maybe my math is way off?

It's reasonable... Temu (local shippers) were selling 6x3 raised beds for $14 shipped couple of months ago.

I've bought 4 of these months ago when they were about $20 a piece and they've been great. Highly recommend tossing a bunch of wood at the bottom so you don't have to use as much soil. At this price it's a no brainer if you like the look and size.

Only thing to keep in mind is it comes in about 10 pieces and the edges are sharp so just be careful when you're putting it together. They usually come with gloves for this reason.

assuming this cannot be used like a pot, as in install on a cemented surface?

It doesn't have a bottom, it's just an oval. You could set it on cement and put dirt in it (perhaps use some landscape fabric to keep it contained) and it would work.
