All these cheap 3" rollerblade style casters for office/gaming chairs are about the same quality, and the metal they are made from is fairly soft but still good enough if you weigh around 200lbs or less. This is the the best cheap upgrade you can add to any office/gaming chair because these are way smoother, way more quiet, and they reduce rolling friction by up to 80% or more. They also take 60 seconds or less to change all 5 so it is super fast and easy to swap them. I'm 150lbs and use my chair 50hrs/wk and these work great for me showing almost no wear after 2 years of use. The grease in the ball bearing channel is slightly metalic looking which indicates a slight amount of wear but the casters still fit pretty tightly together with the same tiny amount of freeplay in the ball bearing channel they originally had when they were new. I re-grease mine with a little Red & Tacky automotive grease once a year by spraying out the old grease with brake cleaner then using a swab to apply a little Red & Tacky grease as I turn the caster around to evenly distribute it, then wipe off the excess. My coworker has the same set of casters and she uses her chair 40hrs/wk and those wore out in only 6 months where the ball bearing track wore down so much that all the ball bearings fell out the sides because she weighs around 400lbs.

The price is the same for the low profile double wheel casters.

I got those for our vacation rental chairs and they are pretty great.

Really roll smooth and keep the laminate nice.

Perhaps next time select the 2" double wheels option, which states they are rated for 650lbs!😮

anyone know a better option for thick carpet? These were a slight upgrade over the normal ones in the chair but it's still nearly impossible to move unless i'm not sitting in the chair.
