Anyone thoughts on these? I'd be upgrading from some old Klipsch bookshelf speakers for home theater in a fairly small room. Being able to put these against the wall is pretty clutch. Any other adorama deals for matching surrounds?

I have not heard them but they get good reviews. Seems a very good deal on a pair.

Oh wow if their current quality could hold a candle to the old Energy name this could be a killer deal. I have a pair of 20 yrs old floorstanding with the built-in 12" subs and they can shake the house.

This is so tempting because I already have an RSL 3.1 setup and I could put these in front and move the RSL speakers to the back to make it 5.1. Would there be a timbre mismatch though if still have an RSL center channel up front?

I don't really look that deeply into matching speakers. Depending on how loud you run your audio and how you have your settings selected, I doubt you notice. I think music is where you'd notice a difference.

If anything, you might look into a different center channel speaker, but I'd see what you think when you get it set up and have a chance to listen to the audio.

Or, there is a full package available. You could just buy that and sell your other speakers.

good deal. depending on your room size this would be a steal. Energy was the company that klipsch bought out to remove competition. The CF line is a good "buy it for life" quality. they don't make them like this anymore.

I have 7.1 Denon receiver but do not have front standing speakers (using as 5.1 - Klipsch center, side pair, back pair and a woofer). Room is not very big but really wish to add some front standing speakers to make it 7.1. Will this do the job? Appreciate your expertise.

If your main use is movies/TV not 2 channel music, you'd be better off upgrading the center speaker since THAT is the one speaker that alone carries most of the output not the front mains. Which Klipsch center do you have? If it's one of the dual woofer ones, I'd go for a 504Ci or 504Cii. Check Crutchfield and Amazon for pricing.

I have Klipsch RP-504C as center speaker.
