Consumer reports gave this a 52 but it looks like it's primarily due to speed. Seems like a good buy, stainless interior and good grind size and noise level and overall positive reviews online. Only a 4 year warranty, though.

Never buy less than a 3/4hp. Had two insinkerator 1/2hp through the years and they struggled with chicken bones and celery and leafy scraps, frequently clogging/compacting the exit chute and drain. Went to 3/4hp and it seemed to have made the whole kitchen cleaner and more efficient. It'll smash to smithereens anything you throw in it and I haven't had to deal with a clogged sink drain since I installed it pre-covid...so going on 6 years now. Highly recommend a 3/4hp insinkerator. I imagine a 1hp would be a dream, and will go to a 1hp if the 3/4hp ever craps out.
