Not a bad deal, but also not good. This is a 2024 model with a 3rd gen QD-OLED screen. Their prices are expectedly dropping as we're on 4th, even 5th gen QD-OLED displays now.

I have the Gen3 version of this monitor. From the research I did, the deciding factor I found between the original model (this deal), the revised model (model number ending in "R"), and the gen3 model (model number ending in "3") is the protective film on the gen3. The protective film (called Blackshield) helps prevent scratches from cleaning and reduce glare from direct/indirect light. There are other stepwise improvements (trueblack hdr level, panel version, peak brightness, etc.) but the Blackshield film gave me confidence in cleaning and viewing the monitor.

If the film isn't a factor for you, this could be a good deal. I'd also consider the Alienware AW3225QF which is just as good as this original model and cheaper (currently on sale and when at MSRP).

I got the one ending in cdp it's wo oled so it has a matte look which suits me for being in a bright room. They are fantastic monitors. KVM switch speaker/mic output etc etc. Dialing in the settings is pretty easy.

Yeah its a solid deal. Asus is the best brand for OLED at the moment. There really isnt enough difference between this monitor and the newer panel technology. Only exception would be if you found a newer gen model for the same price.

Rounding up from .5 under is standard practice for TVs and monitors
