The entire purpose of a dash cam is to be a reliable device that you can trust to have the footage in the event of an incident. A Sony sensor is only a small part of that equation, the more important thing is having a known-quality device that others have verified works. I have personally experienced a dash camera that crapped out without me knowing, even though it showed a recording light. Luckily I did not need the footage, but I would have been screwed if I had needed it. So, cheaping out on a no-name, no reputation dash cameras is probably one of the silliest things you can do. Buy once, cry once. Viofo isn't even that much more expensive, but it has a good reputation.

Temporarily pulled off Amazon due to a copyright claim against their software.

Given, not the moral high road for a company if it's true. But with the amount of grey market license keys pushed on Slickdeals I'm not sure it's a dealbreaker around here 😂

Point is the likelihood of any deals is far less likely given Amazon AND Shopify has banned them. You may find some left over inventory from 3rd parties trying to dump them. I doubt you'll see any grey market Viofo deals. Unlike Sony, DJI, or other grey market offerings, Viofo will not survive without a legitimate presence. Forget any warranties, support or otherwise. Given the seriousness of the dcma violation and where they're at, you're looking at a dead company (or brand).
