Three-hundred-and-fifty-foot pounds of torque is good enough to get most everything off at home, except W-mart installed tires off without a breaker bar. Probably a pretty reasonable tool to install lag bolts on your new deck for example. Comes with 7 deep well sockets: 11/16-in, 3/4-in, 13/16-in, 7/8-in, 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm. Looks like it comes with a blow-molded case and a 5-year warranty (which Lowe's is good at honoring).
Look at independent reviews, y'all. This is a good occasional use home tool from what I learned, and it won't take up a quarter of your garage.
I paid $35 (returned item) for a similar HF 1/2" corded impact earlier this year. It's good for a continuous 575 ft-lbs. No expensive battery to charge. No problem removing auto lug nuts or crank bolts with oversized impact sockets.
Noobs jump on powerful expensive battery impact. I use a 3/4" breaker bar or oxy torch. The Kobalt is an excellent tool for removing fastener larger than 15 mm. Note that the 1/2" drive will continue to spin once you release the switch. Always re-install the fastener by hand to check for damage in the nut/bolt.

Wally World tire boys may sit on a lug nut for 5 seconds. That would translate to 400 ft-lbs max...well within the working range of the Kobalt. I'd be more concerned about warped rotor and/or damaged bolt.
The Kobalt is moderately warm with 25% duty cycle (15 sec ON, 45 sec OFF). Looks like an upgraded version of the old Harbor Freight 1/2" Chicago Electric with two removable slots to replace the brushes. That Chicago Electric tool is good for 300 continuous ft-lbs.
