The Echelon Connect Sport (including models like the EX-15/Sport) is a solid budget option, but it depends heavily on a phone/tablet and the Echelon app ecosystem.
The Schwinn IC4 is the more versatile and robust mid-range bike. It has a built-in LCD console, dual-sided pedals, better adjustability, and broad Bluetooth compatibility with apps such as Peloton and Zwift.

• Echelon Connect Sport: No built-in display or metrics console. You'll need a phone or tablet to view workout data.
• Schwinn IC4: Built-in backlit LCD tracks RPM, time, calories, resistance, and other basic metrics. It also includes a Bluetooth heart-rate armband.
App compatibility
• Echelon Connect Sport: Designed primarily around the Echelon Fit ecosystem, although third-party workarounds exist.
• Schwinn IC4: Connects directly to popular third-party apps such as Peloton, Zwift, and Apple Fitness+.

At $244, the Echelon Connect Sport-S is the better deal for most buyers.
It includes a 10" touchscreen, 32-level magnetic resistance, adjustable seating, and a compact footprint. You would normally need to spend considerably more to get a comparable connected bike with an integrated display.
The Schwinn IC4 is still the better bike overall: it has four-way adjustable handlebars, dual-sided SPD/toe-cage pedals, broader third-party app support, a standalone LCD console, included dumbbells and heart-rate monitor, a 330-lb capacity, and a much better warranty.
However, those advantages are difficult to justify if the IC4 costs several hundred dollars more.
Verdict: Buy the Sport-S at $244 if you're comfortable with the Echelon ecosystem and basic toe-cage pedals. Choose the IC4 only if app flexibility, SPD pedals, better ergonomics, or long-term warranty coverage are worth the substantial price difference to you.
One caveat: the Sport-S touchscreen is primarily intended for Echelon content—it is not a normal unrestricted tablet—and full access to Echelon classes requires a paid membership after the included trial.
One caution: if you buy it, I recommend that you do NOT connect to it with the Echelon app, which apparently updates the firmware to lock you out of using any 3rd-party apps with the bike. Instead, you can use the QZ app from the App Store for $7 to send the bike's output to any other fitness/tracking apps (Apple Health, Peloton, etc.) without requiring the special Echelon subscription.
