It's versatile, but @ $1000not better than theQ990....
At $499 it's a good deal but I'm still not biting
I think it is fantastic and perfect for my room setup where I don't want to run wires + find a place to mount the additional speakers (wife said no and we have an open floor plan so there really isn't a good place to mount those speakers) . Is it as good as a dedicated 11.1.4 setup? Nope. But is it good enough especially with my space constraints? Absolutely. I can plop the rears down on movie night and then plug them back in when not movie night.
I don't know specifically about the mk2 but I've read that it's a step up from the mk1. If you've got similar space constraints I highly recommend these Jbl soundbars with true wireless rears.
Edit: I owned the older 5.1 with the true wireless rears before the 1300x and it was just ok-the rears just weren't powerful enough. That one has been demoted to being my gaming pc's speaker system but my office is smaller and it works well for that.
Edit 2: I don't use this for music, I have a dedicated 2.1 system for music. Andrew Robinson said it kinda sucks for music.
