Starting my power tool collections as I move into a new home. Is this a universal battery type or a good battery ecosystem I should be investing in? Also, is it a decent drill?

I have this set and not a single complaint about it. I also have cordless tools from all the other players. If I had to pick one eco system to start it would be the M12 Milwaukee. If you plan on building decks, boardwalks, and sheds I would step up to the larger battery systems.
