For anyone with 0.1% economic literacy, US has been printing money as a solution to all problems since it got the reserve currency status. You can easily find videos of Greenspan and other Fed chairs claiming they were going to print more money to solve whatever trouble that President had gotten the country in.

The funniest part is that Congress didn't like having to make the constant cost of living increases to SS/Military pay, that in the 90s they redefined inflation a couple of times to be structurally lower. So we saw bad numbers during/post COVID that were "better than the 70s" but in reality we're probably worse if you used the same equation.
