Where did OP (SD employee) get this code? If SD is getting paid to push this on us, shouldn't we be told?

Right, I get that, I guess what I'm getting at is, the shilled 'deals' should be marked (more) conspicuously, and very much preferably moved to their own "Promoted Deals" forum rather than 'disguised' as "Hot Deals." The current process/policy is so sketchy/misleading especially given the SlickDeals history and rep as a consumer-driven forum/tool.

I'm with ya. I've been here approximately forever and do not like what this place has become but don't know any alternatives.

This is the second time SD said that something is $10 and it's actually $30 or more. SD is NOT trustworthy.
