440 joules protection isn't that much. It's good for lamps, alarm clocks, and maybe phone chargers but I wouldn't use it for anything larger than those.

The rating shows 15A, so you might run into an issue if you install this on a 20A ckt and overload it.

You require 1000 joules protection for small electronics like lamps, alarm clocks etc. 440joules is garbage
