My recommendation for anyone looking for their first 3D printer:
Do you want to print anything with more than one color? Once you find out how much waste a normal "multi-color" printer produces to actually print in multi-color, you will not want to print in multi-color. However, there are now multi-toolhead printers that are much better at this.
Flashforge Creator 5 | $699 | $849 enclosed (4-Toolheads)
Snapmaker U1 | $849 (4-Toolheads)
Those will save you a bit of money in filament but more importantly, print much much faster. There are more options out there, but not in the sub $1k range. REMEMBER, multi-color does NOT equal multi-toolhead.
Do you want to forever print in one color? Then you probably have experience, get what you know you want. If you don't have experience, you LIE to yourself! You will want to print in color, spend a little more on a multi-tool head printer.
Doesn't print TPU btw. Used to be supported material apparently, but just google "AD5X TPU" and you'll see most people being unable to print TPU, at least using the IFS system.
