Why existing customers only, when i click your link it says $0 with promotion and asks if you are a new customer. Does it lock you into multiple months if you are a new customer?

No for new customers the service plan won't be $30 but $50/$55 minimum instead.

Thanks,

There is nothing to cancel. This is prepaid. Don't enroll for autopay. And yes, as per the current unlock policy for metro, it should automatically unlock after a year from the date of activation automatically without any additional payments

Would it work on T-Mobile before the unlock? Sounds like a good deal on the phone, even with 50-55 payment upfront.

Interesting so a new customer could grab the same offer just let us higher starting rate and theoretically never pay past the first month and haven't unlocked phone in a year. Just wanna confirm before digging deeper. I'd mostly be using this as a secondary device. I like these screens for reading.

Yes this has been the case for a while with metro. As a new customer there are also a few other metro deals (you can search on SD) as well

Been using this when I'm at home ( use a diff phone when going out). The screen is so much better on the eyes, but the phone is a little slow and buggy. Still worth it for $30!

People usually use these metro deals for trade in or as wifi device.

Can't agree more. I wish the screen could be replicated in all smartphones: so good on eyes with less eyestrain during night reading.

Metro won't allow the T-Mo Sat on their phones unless unlocked. I went with T-Mo prepaid and the SAT connection is great in the boonies. You can use the service if your phone is unlocked (unless T-Mo branded) but it has to be a more current smartphone. T-Mo phone customers it's $10. month and non T-Mo customers it's $15. Stores will try to charge you a activation of various amounts from $20 to $35. so just refuse and be prepared to walk. Costco would be a good place to check. It can be installed vis esim or sim card.
