I got it and returned. It has a rubberized coating, so expect it to get nasty sticky in a couple of years.

It's hard to see the complete time on this clock from anything other than almost directly in front, so it's less than ideal if you'll be viewing it from different angles. I also didn't realize it worked only with USB-C.

Thank you for pointing this out, one of the review photos illustrates this as well, there's a ton of lint and white stuff on the top of it.

This is an annoying issue in general, but I feel like it would take many many years on something like this that sits inside 24/7 with no exposure to UV light or rough handling. I've only really seen this happen in the past on my sunglasses and bike brake hoods, both of which got a lot of exposure to the sun, sweat, etc.

Good sound machine. I really don't mind the matte/rubberized finish, not sticky at all. It's easy to pack up I take it on international trips. It doesn't reset the time when you unplug it which is great. Good variety of sounds. Also raised buttons so you can use it without having to look at it. Also really like that you can adjust the brightness of the display

Same. It isn't sticky, it's great travel size, and I don't know why people say you can't read the time.. You can change brightness and colors.

It isn't sticky when new but give it a couple of years. I don't have a single rubberized coated product that didn't get sticky.
It's not just sticky, it transfers to anything that touches it too.

I got the baby brother of this product that has built in battery, and can charged if plugged in, and plays many hours without plugged in. But it doesn't have a clock.
But current method to wake up is the echo dot with clock (the clock version is discontinued... I got 2 of them). And this echo dot gives me the temp in room, and turn on lights, and a.c. and can do simple routines to turn off and all ac or 4-bay DAS's , and spell for me, or set weekly alarms, and reminders, ... and all types of stuff, like calm sounds, etc.

The device in this thread is probably good for travel, and it depends on your current setup , we all do stuff differently.

I come into gadget threads for new ideas and products, always new stuff coming out. I have too many gadgets (I'm a slick dealer)... I came here to play and enjoy being with other slick dealers.

This came out to $16.88 after taxes in GA which for me is too close to $20 bucks for this. The little brother white one we have that holds a charge when unplugged is the better deal whenever it comes around for ~$10 again.
