Your lock is only as strong as your door frame. I found that out the hard way one time years ago.

Great item if you have toddlers/younger kids you don't want opening doors to the outside unnoticed or unexpectedly and they can reach the dead bolt knob.

I installed these on my exterior doors a couple months back. So far no one has been able to break through them. This is especially impressive as the only one who has tried has been my wife when she didn't realize they were engaged and she yanked on them pretty hard several times 😂

I installed one of these on my daughter's front door at the very bottom and thought it worked extremely well for such low $$$. She has a side light/window that goes almost halfway down the door. It would be super easy for a burgler to smash the pitifully thin glass and reach directly over to unlock the deadbolt and remove the bar/brace she places against the door handle to prevent a kick-in. At least now they will have to have unhumanly long arms and lean against jagged glass while upside down attempting to flip open the reinforcement mechanism.

If your frame has a glass pane connected to wood, this is worthless.

I was just able to apply the code from my laptop. If you're using the app, there's an extra step of tapping the arrow next to where the code is entered.

This is to keep out the average person, not a SWAT team.

3" screws behind the hinges, strike plate and point where the frame is shimmed. This ties it into the framing of your house. You would be surprised how poorly secured entry doors are to a house.

After having one broken in, I would not be surprised.

This is exactly why I bought a couple of these a few years ago 👍

What would one get to keep out a SWAT team?

This seems like normal price to me.. not quite slick. If 2-pack was for this price or slightly above, I would agree.

An armored door with armored frame, but then they might just get someone to trick you into opening it, blow it open, get out a chainsaw and cut around it, or just go thru a window.
