I love this chainsaw! I picked one up after a overlanding trip where we ran into a lot of downed trees. Works really well and you can easily convert it to a longer bar. I went with Oregon on mine.

I have an old plug in AC chainsaw i've crept along with for years. I'm looking at this because I need a 4h+ Dewalt battery and high capacity charger for another tool - thinking about pulling the trigger.

I have had this chainsaw for 3 or 4 years and it's great. I would not hesitate to purchase it again. Zero issues.

The amazon reviews do indicate the older Dewalt model is excellent, but something changed in the latest edition. Who knows

I had this saw. Definitely leaked bar oil like many of the reviews state. Also after a couple years it started making that noise when you have a cordless drill and you adjust the torque setting and the teeth slip so you don't over torque the screw. Except in this case it was the internal gear teeth obviously stripped and it stopped working after a little smoke. Threw it away and went and bought a gas powered stihl

My experience is on positive side: great for small trees, used with a 6ah Flexvolt, no leaks I store it flat (not hanging). Easy to clean and adjust chain.

Use it as intended and it's great

Mine also leaks a little if you leave oil in it, but I stuck an O-ring on the oil cap and drain it when I'm done. Problem solved for me. I'll note that I also don't use it that often, so if someone planned to use it all the time that could be more of a nuisance.
