Buyer beware. I bought a blue one of these back in January 2026 but didn't open it for quite awhile. When I did, the smell was horrendous. It was outgassing so bad I couldn't be in the same room with it for more than a few minutes before I could feel it in my throat. I contacted CAP about it and they suggested setting it outside for a week, cleaning it with baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, etc, all of which I did, and it was just as bad. 7-8 months later it's still sitting outside. I contacted CAP again telling them I would give them one last chance to make it right which to their credit they did, and sent me another one. The one they sent is fine although even the dumbbells I purchased separately in various sizes about the same time still have some of that similar odor. Just make sure if you buy one, open it immediately, if needed set it outside for a week and see if that order dissipates, and if not, return it, don't expect more time to make a real difference.
