The only tech better than this is micro led and those are still stupid expensive. this is better than "QLED" (Quantum-Dot Light Emitting Diode) because the smaller led zones provide better contrast than the qdot matrix that you're falling for.

So all the manufacturers started selling a cheaper MiniLed along side their Quantum Mini line ups - these are lower cost lower performance than TCLs QM8, Samsung NeoQ, or LGs QNED - not to be confused with micro RGB Technology

They are separate technologies. A majority of the Mini-LED TVs you see now are also QLED, meaning they have quantum dots for more color volume.
