Triangle markets these as Atmos speakers, that's what the A in BRA1 is for. The BRS1 is the speaker they market for surrounds. (And the BRC1 is the center.)

That said, these work well as surrounds. I have them in my home theater and they're great because you can mount them to the wall without needing a mounting bracket. They're low profile and sound very good. They will be angled down, though, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your intended placement and listening position, so something to be aware of if you intend to use them for that purpose.
