This is odd because I got the compact brushless version for $60 a year ago.

Good deal, but I have the bigger brushless model that takes a hammering, removing some lug nuts that haven't been taken off for a while. No chance this would take them off in the same scenario

How many dugga-dugga's are you torquing those nuts to? I have both this brushed model and works fine on my truck. Give'r a couple rips then finish it off with the torque wrench. Re-check after 50 miles.

This can remove any passenger car's lug nuts as long as they aren't ridiculously over-torqued to double the recommended torque value, and most light truck's lug nuts. I'd agree that its 220 ft/lbs rating is quite low for today's standards. I got the 3/8" brushless compact model PSBIW02B rated at 275 ft lbs and 1/2" brushless model P262 rated at 600 ft lbs on a HomeDepot combo sale for $99 about 8mos ago and the 3/8" can barely remove F-150 lug nuts which are torqued to 150 ft lbs. I doubt this non-brushless one can loosen those since it has 50 ft lb lower rating.

Torqued to spec. I had this smaller one, and it was nowhere near as good as the bigger brushless one I got. I guess it depends on what you need it for and if you can afford the bigger one
