I got one of these the last time this was posted (about a month ago?). Note that the top three rungs are not meant to be stepped on ... I'm thinking that is only for balance reasons. I would agree that a 12-footer would be more useful. But if an 8-footer is all you need, this one works.

This looks like it would be nice to use for accessing an attic with an opening that can't accommodate a built in ladder.

Might have to get one for that purpose and just store it on the wall under the opening instead of lugging my full size ladder over to it every time.

look into either telestep or xtendclimb ladders for any telescoping ladder. these are reputable companies and are the only ones our safety guys recommend for a reason...yes they are more expensive, but you have the reassurance that they will not collapse on you randomly like the chinese knockoffs will eventually...I speak from experience on the field
