Arm is fantastic for MacOS, Android, IOS though...

Because early buyers occasionally faced software emulation quirks or app incompatibility, return rates on first-generation Arm PCs were higher than average, leaving stores heavily stocked with flawless "Open-Box Excellent" or "Geek Squad Certified Refurbished" units at up to 60% off retail"
Good news is, while sleeping it uses very little juice. With spin 3x snapdragon x 26-100 (not plus or elite) it was like half a precent an hour or less IIRC. And no surprise gotchas like putting it to sleep throwing it in your bag and finding a mini dry sauna an hour or two later.

Also peeps have been porting some apps to arm themselves, I got a few unofficial builds for apps over on github. Although even arm native apps can sometimes require tweaks and work arounds. For example, with vlc arm native I had to disable hardware decoding or when I would unpause a video the vid would be frozen while the audio continued to play.
Windows on arm has come a long way, but I feel like there is still a fair amount of heavy lifting (research) that the average user gets stuck with. Maybe if you stay in the windows store it's better, but my experience was that while I could eventually work around most problems, or use different apps...it wasn't a great experience. On the other hand, for some peeps the battery life alone may make the hassle worthwhile.
