If anyone buys Norton or Mcafee please, PLEASE remove your credit card info from your account (they'll force you to enter your credit card info in order to set up the program) there have been horror stories about them charging outrageous amounts ($100 and up) when your year's subscription expires and you forget to cancel before then - or even worse their computer systems don't "register" the cancellation and you get charged anyways (and yes the program will still work fine without your credit card info)... Norton lets you do this after creating your norton account with them online without speaking to a rep, mcafee will force you to speak to a rep but the friends we've gifted mcafee subscriptions to have described it as being easy to do (chat online with a mcafee rep and they'll remove your credit card info without hassling you about it).

Having said that I've seen Norton deals for low as $20 to high as $40 during Black Friday/December sales from amazon (even sometimes before that) for a 20 license one year subscription if you don't need any of these "right away" and want to wait and you have a lot of devices (they'll install on phones, tablets and so forth too not just computers)
