as with all inkjets, if you aren't printing a few times a week you will be spending a lot of ink on 'maintenance' cycles or could encounter clogging if you go long without printing.

Personally, I recommend a laser printer for any volume of printing. With my previous habits of printing a few pages every 2-3 months on an inkjet, I used orders if magnitude more ink on "maintenance cycles" compared to what actually ended up on the page. I tossed the printer because the heads clogged.
