Working great so far. Got them maybe a week or so ago. I have 2 256gb nvmes. I think they're gen 2, so not super fast. Still a whole lot faster than my 4tb 3.5" hdd. Not nearly as fast as my Samsung 9100 pro 2tb and 1tb but it's nice to have them for VM backups. The drives stay cool enough.
Note: if you're going to use this in an older computer and use it as the boot disk, it may not be able to see it during boot. To get around that, you can make a bootable usb flash drive with Clover Bootloader software. Just search for "Clover Bootloader Github". The computer boots from Clover Bootloader and then is able to see the boot disk and boot from it.

Often a motherboard will only have a 1x slot left. You can get a 1x card but you will be bottlenecking your SSD speeds to 2,000 MBps or less
