It's not that it's bad, it's more that Segway has kind of abandon it. If all you need is a 2kW power station, it's pretty competitively price with decent performance. The issue is the main selling point for it, the easy expansion, is pretty much a dead end. Segway has pretty much abandon the concept and stopped making the 1 kW expansion modules. If you're able to find residual stock of the expansion modules out in the market, they're typically overpriced.
Also, this came out several years ago, late 2023/ early 2024 I think, but Segway has not released a successor nor announced one, so it's unknown if they will stay in the power station market. You're basically buying into a dead ecosystem, hence the deep discount you often see on the Cube 2000 and sometimes on the Cube 1000. The Cube 1000 is just the base 1 kW power station by itself, while the Cube 2000 is the base power station with 1 expansion module. In theory, you could buy 4x Cube 2000 units and salvage the expansion batteries to make your own fully expanded Cube 5kW power station and have 3x Cube 1kW power stations left over as spares or resell. There are better options out there though if you need a 5kW power station.
