this thing won't even run Windows

The Core 5 120 has larger L1-L3 cache though for certain workloads.
Most people run more PC than they need, or don't know how to manage their settings. This isn't't a 4k gaming monster, but put some RAM in this thing and it'll be great for 98% of users.
