A few years ago, I bought a refurbed iMac. It was disgusting. The keyboard and mouse were supposed to be Apple, but were generic non-brand junk and filthy with grime. I returned it immediately, but it still took over a month for them to "process" my return and issue a refund.

They may still support update for the old models. But 32gb model will be challenged for update. Thus, we may need to delete everything before update. This would not be a deal if apple didn't increased the prices.

I don't think the risks are worth it. Not knowing what condition gets delivered, not knowing if they'll get updates, not knowing the battery condition, and their basically not serviceable without a lot of time and effort and special tools

Got a refurb iPhone from them, came in perfect shape, and I was able to add it to AppleCare One no problem (unlike one I bought from Amazon directly which had a manufacturer date set as 1978).
