Can't replicate and this updated model...3.2lbs vs. the 2.9lbs. Darn touch screen adding .3lbs to what is a great device. I'd upgrade to the 32GB model as the one I'm typing on now has served me well...

Yeah, touchscreen is so pointless on a Gram 17 and takes away from the biggest feature the Gram series has, which is it's light weight. That would be enough for me not to buy it. Touchscreens also reduce display quality as they need to add a touch later on top of the display, so light needs to pass through another layer before it reaches your eyes. I can see wanting a touchscreen on a tablet laptop gubrid, but it's so idiotic to make a touch Gram 17.

Yeah...it's so strange. It felt like the first 3 or 4 years of the 17" model...it was 2.9lbs. An amazing marketing flag to wave being in the less than 3lb category for such a large screen. I'm assuming LG still makes a base 2.9lb model, but I got tired of scrolling the models on their site. Mine is the 11th Gen 16GB. I'm about to organically grow my RAM by reducing usage migrating to CachyOS. One of the best deals for my PC tastes...$550 gently used/refurb from BuyDig. In the $600's...for sure...I would definitely get another one....even if it's a 3.1lb porker...

$550 is a great deal for Gram 17! I had a 12th Gen i7 Gram 17 with 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and RTX 2050 that weighed 3.1lbs, and even that felt a bit heavy in comparison to my 2.49lbs 11th Gen Gram 15. I never used the Gram 17 and finally ended up selling it for $900 locally (bought it for $1000 locally as well a few years ago. Had zero hours on it).
